Short answer is YES because when people use their space creatively, ie patio, deck or deck railing with pots, etc. then the potential is without limit. On the other hand the initial cost may tip the balance to merely out-spend simply buying the food from the grocery. Generally some garden planting saves more money than it costs while others are not cost effective. In such a case, I suggest starting the gardening routine with herbs and not tomato or corn.A good option might be to participate in a community garden were the harvest could more than what goes into the ground. Making new friends, comradery, fresh air and sunshine are always healthy. R.H.
